First announced in 2003, the overall Masterplan for developing the port area at Barrow in Cumbria includes 400 waterfront homes, offices, retail units, a 300-berth marina, powerboat racing course, water sports centre and innovation park. Now, work has started on the design of two of the other projects included in the scheme; a new marina link and cruise terminal.
