VT/Merwede Sign MoU

Two major Northern European shipbuilders, the UK's VT Shipbuilding and Merwede Shipyard of the Netherlands, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together on naval warship procurement programmes outside the UK.
VT’s experience in the design and build of commercial offshore patrol vessels will compliment Merwede in the pursuit of the forthcoming OPV contract from the Dutch Ministry of Defence, which could be built cost effectively in Holland.
