The large cutterhead on display is a six bladed T8 model, claimed to be the strongest such system ever built for a dredger.

The T8 cutterhead has nearly double the strength of models from only a decade ago and can handle a fearsome drive force of 8,000hp. The order for DEME also includes type T6 for sand and clay, T6 for rock, T6 multi-purpose, and T8 for rock.

The T6 cutterheads have been designed for dredgers with a maximum cutter power of 6,000 hp whereas T8 models will take the full force of a behemoth like D'Artagnan .Europort Maritime provides the dredging industry with its own focused area in Hall 6 and VOSTA LMG will thus be surrounded by related companies.

On their stand VOSTA LMG will showcase a wide selection of the equipment they supply, from cutter teeth to dredging components packages to entire self propelled and stationary dredgers as well as engineering and contracting services.

The main event on VOST LMG's stand will be a demonstration of tooth changing on the company's third generation cutting systems.

There will be no risk of injury from flailing sledgehammers and flying shrapnel as visitors will be encouraged to experience for themselves how quick and easy it now is with VOSTA LMG's new airtool based system.

The stand will be designed to display VOSTA LMG's expertise in the design and development of critical dredging components and systems as well as complete dredgers. Models will be on display of recent deliveries such as the 5,000m 3capacity trailing suction hopper dredger Shen Hua and the cutter suction dredger Lexington .VOSTA LMG president and managing director Aad Verhoeff invited all Europort Maritime visitors to the stand with the words, 'Our team of specialists will be available to demonstrate new product developments and explain company policy, which is to support dredging contractors and local governments around the world in their need to execute specific dredging projects or develop their countries.'
