The presence of one new workboat in a locale can sometimes lead to other orders for the builder, as Isle of Wight based Cheetah Marine hasfound to its delight along the Holderness coastline in Yorkshire UK. Following on from one and then two recent deliveries of 6.9m commercial fishing boats to the area, Cheetah Marine has just completed a 7.9m Cheetah configured as a dedicated survey boat for Hull based Precision Marine Surveys .

There is high demand for self elevating platforms judging by the current workload of Ravestein Container Pontoon at Dodewaard in the Netherlands. The yard is nearing completion of a 250 ton fixed platform for PerAarsleff S/A of Denmark which measures 24m by 16m by 2.5m.

The opening day of Seawork 2005 delivered successful encounters for exhibitors and visitors alike, with Portchester UK based boat builder VT Halmatic having a particularly sweet moment when it signed contracts with PD Teesport Ltd and Falmouth Harbour Commissioners to supply both parties with nearly identical new pilot boats.
New Order for MJ Cover Tug
