Ravestein Raises the Roof

There is high demand for self elevating platforms judging by the current workload of Ravestein Container Pontoon at Dodewaard in the Netherlands. The yard is nearing completion of a 250 ton fixed platform for PerAarsleff S/A of Denmark which measures 24m by 16m by 2.5m.
The Arsleff Jack V is due for delivery this month and will stand on four 1,020 mm diameter legs of 32m in length. It will be classified by Germanischer Lloyd + A5W Self Elevating Unit (Sheltered Protected Water Service) .
Also in the yard and due for delivery next month is another 250 ton self elevating platform for Jack Up Barge BV of the Netherlands. This is a containerised platform put together of standard RCP container pontoons and standing on four 1,020 mm diameter, 30m long legs. To be named Platform JB-107 , this unit measures 24.4m by 14.6m by 2.43m and shares the same classification as Arsleff Jack V . RCP will deliver a 400 ton self elevating platform in February 2006, also for Jack Up Barge BV .This containerised model will be assembled of RCP pontoons joined by Ravestein's Heavy Duty Coupling System. To stand on 1,400 mm diameter legs of 40m length, JB-108 will measure 30.4m by 21.9m by 2.9m and will be classified by Germanischer Lloyd +A5 (Self Elevating Unit A-MC.
