Change of Venue Lifts ShipRepair Exhibition

China’s Cosco Shipyard Group and Malaysian Marine & Heavy Engineering have joined a growing list of new exhibitors attracted by the change of location for the ShipRepair & Conversion 2005 exhibition and conference. The event leaves London for the first time in its<$>13 year history to take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre on 7-9 November.

Apart from boosting first time participation and securing the return of many regulars, the move has also lifted bookings from past and new exhibitors based in the Middle East and nearby regions. This list is led by Dubai Maritime City and Dubai Drydocks, who have been joined as official supporters of the event by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects.

Dubai Maritime City, located on a man made 216 hectare peninsula, is the first and largest development of its kind and will house a cluster of maritime authorities and businesses including repair, maintenance and conversion services. Dubai Drydocks, which is to host a site visit, joins other global players in an exhibition which will bring focus to the depth of world class facilities in the Arabian Gulf.
