Money for New Rope at Seawork

Seawork regulars MarineCo Ltd had an unexpected but welcome experience at Seawork 2005. As the company’s Chris Dinham explained, ‘A group of fishermen came onto the stand and, after the usual negotiation, handed me £750 in cash for rope to be delivered the following week. It’s very unusual to be handed so much cash at an exhibition.’

MarineCo exhibited a selection of their vast range of rope and buoys at Seawork 2005 and had a busy time dealing with commercial fishermen and mooring operators. MarineCo were surprised by the noticeably increased number of commercial fishermen at the show this year, a good indication of Seawork’s ever broadening appeal.

The company also received a very positive reaction to their new flotation suit, which has been designed especially for the commercial market, where conditions of use often destroy less sturdy garments. MarineCo feel that the wide mix of marine professionals visiting Seawork is what makes the show so good. As Chris Dinham added, ‘It certainly makes it more interesting for stand personnel, who are not having the same conversation over and over again.’
