New TSS Products and Orders
01 Apr 2006
Also at Oi06, TSS International of Watford announced the largest ever single order for its Meridian subsea gyros with the commissioning of 23 units by Oceaneering International of Houston for ROV applications.
Another Houston based concern, rental specialists Survey Equipment Services, also signed a contract worth over $250,000 for ten Meridian Surveyor gyrocompasses and one DMS 25 motion sensor. All the equipment is currently being delivered for operation in the Gulf of Mexico.
TSS additionally unveiled its new DMS-H low cost, solid state heave sensor designed for operation with single beam echosounders. Use of solid state accelerometers, the company says, eliminates the need for post-processing of survey data.
Real-time heave data is provided in either an analogue or digital format with depth measurement accuracies of 5cm RMS or 5%, whichever is greater.
Also new is the TSS 440 OOST, an out of straightness tool for pipe and cable surveys that enables target position and burial state data to be obtained at twice the accuracy of current TSS 440 models. It can be supplied as a quick and simple upgrade to existing widely-used 440 systems and is now available for demonstration trials.
