A SeaFrance Dover to Calais ferry crew was awarded their country's National Sea Rescue Society (SNSM) medal last month for the courageous rescue at sea of a passenger last November. The passenger fell overboard into very cold water from another company's ship. An alarm was raised and SeaFrance Rodin diverted its route, located the passenger, launched a high speed lifeboat and saved the person's life with a rapid response rescue.
