High on the worklist for the Conservancy is the ability to inspect large buoys.

To power the stainless steel davit to lift the buoys a Spencer Carter hauler and power pack is located in a starboard side winch box.

A starboard side door is fitted so that the buoys, once lifted, can be swung onto the deck.

The Cheetah 6.2m with a standard wheelhouse allows plenty of deck space to work on the buoys.

Twin Honda 50hp four-stroke engines provide the power and fuel is supplied from a 103 litre tank fitted between the engines. A comprehensive array of stainless steel work made in the Cheetah factory includes a centre aft bulkhead towing post bollard, a full set of safety rails all round and a folding roof mast gantry.

Seating includes a suspension helm seat on a storage pod and bench seats for five also with storage beneath.

Well over one hundred of the Cheetah 6m Series have been sold for many varied uses. The vessel designer is Sean Stevens of Cheetah Marine.

Future orders include a survey catamaran for Bristol Docks, and Cheetah's first export order to Africa. The 7.9m, only introduced two years ago has attracted many orders and a future build is for a survey boat for the Saudi Port Authority.

Cheetah will be working with Reson on this project.
