Lamor has made an agreement with Danish shipping company O W Bunker & Trading A/S regarding supply and logistics in order to mobilise the vessels for oil spill response in the event of an incident. In addition to delivering the oil spill response equipment, Lamor will also provide training and organisation of regular exercises for the crew of the vessels as well as participating in joint oil pollution combating exercises in the Baltic Sea.

The EMSA contract is a substantial addition to Baltic response readiness and supports Lamor's drive for oil spill response centres throughout Europe.

In case of an oil spill incident, Lamor will mobilise one or several of the five vessels.

They will have collection tank capacities of over 10,000m 3and will be capable of operating in difficult weather conditions.

Once mobilised, the tankers will arrive at the scene of an incident within 24 hours across an area which extends from St Petersburg to the Straits of Denmark. The chosen vessels will be called to a suitable harbour where Lamor oil spill response equipment will be installed and Lamor personnel will board the vessels to complement their fully trained crews.

The first vessel will be ready to combat oil pollution by next month.
