Multi-Sensor System has 'Night Vision'
01 Jul 2006
The latest multiple sensor vision systems from Night Vision Technologies (NVTi) of Texas USA provide improved field of view, better imaging capabilities and more user friendly operation. New features on the 5000 and 6000 series systems offer enhanced safety, security and navigation for critical marine applications.
The 5000 series utilises a thermal imager with new field of view options. They are 360 on the 5000 model, 230 on the 5100 and 90 on the 5200. Also standard on the series are a high resolution 312x zoom colour camera and an ultra low lux camera. For the harsh marine environment, all units are encased in a hermetically sealed pressurised housing. The new series offers a 3600continuous pan capability and directional indicator. A re-designed proportional joystick and backlit controller simplify control of the units. For optional remote access, a secure log-in allows users to view and control the camera via internet from any loction. A Cat-5 cable provides control from distances over 914m.
The 6000, 6100 and 6200 models offer the same standard and optional capabilities as the 5000 series plus a standard two axis stabilised platform which holds the tilt head steady even in rough conditions to keep the object in the field of view in focus. Object tracking capabilities allow these systems to lock onto an object and follow it until it is safely out of the craft's path.
For remote internet viewing and control, all 6000 series units come with IP control.
All units provide standard NTSC or optional PAL video output and can be easily integrated into leisure and commercial craft or land based monitoring and control rooms.
