01 Jun 2006
First time Seawork exhibitor Hockway Marine Corrosion Services Ltd of Redhill UK has formed a technical alliance with Houston USA based Deepwater Corrosion Services Inc. The alliance will bring Deepwater's innovative and proven life extension cathodic protection solutions to the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
The two companies have over 50 years of combined international experience of providing technical excellence with tailored consulting and engineered products.
Hockway's CEO Alistair Ketner said, 'We are very excited by the opportunities afforded by this alliance. Deepwater is recognised as one of the leaders in marine CP technology, with an impressive reference list and products portfolio. Their patented products are proven to create value for asset owners and operators by extending the life of aging infrastructure.'
From Texas, Deepwater president Jim Britton added, 'We have long recognised the opportunity in the European and Middle East markets but have lacked a technically competent synergistic local partner. The new management team at Hockway offer the perfect complement needed to bring our product range successfully to market.'
