The new Simrad EPIRB range comprises the EP50 and the EG50, which activate automatically on contact with water. Both versions are available with manual (MAN) or automatic (AUTO) release. The EG50 is also fitted with a 16 channel GPS for increased position accuracy of the alert.

The small, compact EPIRBs feature audible and visual indication of activation. The 406MHz distress alert with 121.5MHz homing beacon provides rapid indication to the rescue authorities that the EPIRB has been activated. A two part bulkhead bracket ensures that it does not accidentally trigger.

The new EPIRBs complete the Simrad GMDSS safety package, which also includes the SA50 SART and the highly regarded Axis range of handheld GMDSS VHFs.

The QuickStick (QS50) is a flexible new joystick system, designed for use with the industry standard and multiple NMEA award winning AP50 autopilot.

QuickStick combines fingertip control with advanced autosteering features and adds a higher level of performance and versatility for the AP50 by allowing full control of major autopilot functions without the need to reach for the main control.

Quickstick can be placed at any preferred station, with its weatherproof and waterproof construction allowing the options to include the open deck.

Suitable for workboats and commercial fishing boats, it provides control of NFU power steering with automatic centring of the rudder simply by pulling back on the stick, eliminating the need to jog the rudder to steer a straight course.
