Zodiac Signs Up for Seawork
01 Jun 2006
Zodiac will have a multiple presence at Seawork 2006, which is to include the first ever showing of the new Minuteman First Responders boat. The 4.2m hypalon neoprene craft has been developed specifically for First Responders, enabling them to get a fully capable inflatable boat from packed to operational state in less than 60 seconds.
The Minuteman can be inflated from a source of compressed air and requires no assembly thanks to its Duratane PU high pressure inflatable deck. Either using paddles or an outboard motor of up to 30hp, the 65kg Minuteman can be launched easily and quickly to help prevent drownings in any body of water. It has an extensive list of standard equipment to aid First Responders in their 24/7 task of rescuing victims from water related accidents.
The Zodiac Minuteman will carry a maximum of six people and has a maximum payload (including engine and fuel) of 920kg.
Zodiac Boats will be on Stand 128 at Seawork 2006, represented by dealers Mackay Marine Services and P A Lynch Ltd. A 6m Searib will be on Seawork's floating pontoon.
The Zodiac Training Academy will be on Stand 107, represented by Peter White from Seafever and Gerry Weisburger from Zodiac North America. A UK version of the Zodiac Academy is to be started up, the basic concept of which can be seen at www. zodiacacademy. com
