Joined Up Piping at Seawork

Reading based Marine Ventures Ltd returns to Seawork as UK distributor for the Swiss-made pipe couplings of Straub Werke AG , which have had such an impact on pipe joining practice in Europe and throughout the global marketplace.
The original Straub Pipe Joining System has set new standards by joining plain-end pipes in a matter of minutes whatever the pipe material.
It is approved extensively in shipbuilding, conversion and for offshore platforms by all the major classification societies, which has led to a rapid rise in popularity for a wide range of UK marine newbuilding and repair projects.
This mechanical pipe coupling concept provides pipework designers and fitters with considerable savings in terms of production time and cost. It is equally suitable for aluminium, plain or treated carbon, 90/10 conifer tube, or stainless construction.
Marine Ventures will be performing hourly demonstrations at Seawork 2006 to show off the simplicity with which the Straub Pipe Joining System joins plain-end pipes, its axial restraint performance, and the pressure containment during jump tests which deflect the pipe by 200.
