Low-Cost, Long-Life Workboat

Based at Inverness in Scotland, Caley Marina has been importing a range of durable, maintenance free Pioneer boats into the UK for 17 years. Built in Norway by Polimoon AS, the polyethylene material of which they are made contains a UV stabiliser that will not degrade in sunlight. In these environmentally sensitive times, a boat that will last much longer than its more conventional competitors and is 100% recyclable scores high in both the through life cost and social responsibility categories.
While many of the 6,000 boats sold through Caley Marina's dealer network have been leisure craft, one model in the range which has found favour with commercial operators such as police and fire departments, disaster and flood rescue teams, local authorities and fish farms is the 5.05m Pioneer Multi.
Combining generous useable space with huge reserves of buoyancy makes the Pioneer Multi a useful utility boat which does not sacrifice good handling characteristics for its 1,200kg carrying capacity.
A soft entry bow and two full length longitudinal keels provide exceptional seakeeping abilities and fine handling.
Capable of accepting outboard engines of up to 70hp, the versatile craft can be requisitioned for water skiing duties when not being made to earn its keep.
A unique feature of the Pioneer Multi is a bow door which, like a military landing craft, can be easily lowered by an integral winch and locked at any height for loading.
The door is wide enough to accommodate most wheelchairs and makes for easy loading of heavy or bulky equipment.
Optional extras include a fitted storage cover, 'A' frame with navigation lights, single point lifting straps, deck tie down kit, and an easy to launch galvanised road trailer.
