No Slip-Ups at Seawork

Visitors to Godmanchester's inland waterways on the River Ouse can look forward to using four new public mooring pontoons this year. Operated by the UK Environment Agency, the existing mooring pontoons were ageing wooden constructions which were a potential safety hazard for users, especially in wet conditions.

The main contractor for the replacement programme manufactured four new pontoons and selected Marina Deck from Seawork exhibitor Fibreglass Grating Ltd as the most suitable material for the new pontoons' deck covering.

As well as fulfilling the design aesthetics, the 38mm thick Marina Deck has one of the highest levels of slip resistance ever measured for a walking surface, especially in wet, oily or frosty conditions. It is also algae resistant and maintenance free, making it not only one of the safest but also one of the most cost effective surfaces available.
