Bearing Monitoring System

The AMOT XTS-W Bearing Condition Monitoring System has received Lloyd’s Register Type Approval, ensuring product quality and suitability for marine applications, whilst enhancing confidence in its effectiveness in detecting critical bearing wear before any damage can occur.

The Lloyd’s Register type approval is an essential part of wider adoption of the XTS-W bearing condition monitoring on slow speed main propulsion engines for real time protection of all the crank bearings. It can avoid high cost consequential damage caused by bearing failures. There is a high possibility that in the near future the requirement for five year open out inspections will be removed if an XTS-W system is installed. The certification approves the system for use in the marine environment and also approves the manufacturing process.
