The totally revamped presentation of Cruise + Ferry 2007 introduces a flexible new conference format by joining forces with seminar partners representing core market areas, reflecting delegate demand for a targeted approach allowing them the freedom to focus on their chosen conference subject areas and thus have more time to visit the exhibition.

Specialist forums will be hosted by supporting organisations such as the Royal Institution of Naval Architects, the International Bunker Industry Association, the Institute of Cruise Ship Medicine, and Maritime London. The industry wide range of conference options all fall under the umbrella title of ‘Leading the Way in Passenger Shipping’.

UK Minister of State for Transport Dr Stephen Ladyman has agreed to make the opening address on 24 April ahead of the European cruise industry debate. This will be followed by he European ferry industry forum, led by shipowner, shipyard and trade association speakers. Subsequent seminars will focus on topics such as the design, construction and operation of passenger ships; the financial, legal and insurance aspects of passenger shipping; the ferry industry response to competition from budget airlines; fire and evacuation; environmental issues; design team and shipyard priorities on newbuildings; and refits.

The change of venue further highlights Cruise + Ferry’s new look, with ExCel London’s Thames dockside location introducing outdoor display and demonstration potential for a variety of craft and equipment.
