Russian Contracts for Veripos

Veripos in Aberdeen has been awarded two major contracts by Romona, the Russian survey company. The first is for supply of two LD2 integrated GNSS demodulator systems installed by Romona aboard its specialist survey vessel, Teknik Perdana, operating in the Sakhalin oil and gas sector in the Russian Far East using the Veripos regional DGPS network.

The second contract is for supply of a further four integrated demodulators, to be used by Romona in support of high-precision positioning operations in Vietnam using Veripos' Far East dual-frequency GNSS satellite positioning network.

Developed by Veripos to complement its widely-used global GNSS positioning networks, the modular LD2 typically comprises a demodulator and multi-frequency GNSS receiver which can also be used to output received data and measurements in standard formats for external processing and quality control requirements.

Suitable for both high and low-power satellite transmissions, the integrated mobile system is capable of producing superior positional determination from metre to decimetre level accuracy.

Available options include single or dual frequency GPS cards as well as Glonass and HF reception boards.
