Tyco Beats the Heat at SMM 2006

Marine fire safety specialist Tyco will be at SMM 2006 showcasing its line-up of fire suppression brands and solutions designed specifically for shipboard applications.

Suppression systems such as Ansul's Inergen, CO 2and R102, and Hygood's Sapphire will be on display, alongside the latest Skum foam monitors and the Skum HotFoam system, together with the latest portable extinguishers from Ansul and Neuruppin.

The focus on Stand 120 will be to demonstrate Tyco's ability to deliver fully integrated and innovative, internationally approved solutions for protecting engine rooms, electrical equipment spaces, flammable cargoes, liquid hazards, galleys and accommodation areas in ships ranging from tugs and other workboats to ocean going tankers.

Visitors to the Tyco stand will see, amongst other things, Ansul's Inergen gas suppression system for occupied spaces, Hygood's Sapphire chemical replacement for Halon 1301, and Skum's new generation of monitors. Those looking for the latest developments in foam delivery will also be interested in Skum's HotFoam system, which uses the air and smoke from the fire itself to generate foam bubbles to fight enclosed hazard fires MJInformation No: 22246
