ABPmer Reaps Environmental Award

ABP Marine Environmental Research (ABPmer), Associated British Ports’Southampton-based marine research arm, was commended at the Environment Agency’s Project Excellence Awards when it was awarded Joint-Runner-Up in the ‘Innovation and Technical Excellence’ category.

The Severn Estuary Coastal Habitat Management Plan was one of only 12 projects out of 98 short-listed for the award.

The Severn Estuary Coastal Habitat Management Plan, which was produced by ABPmer and technical consultancy firms Jacobs Babtie and Royal Haskoning, was one of only 12 projects out of 98 short listed for the award. 

Dr Natalie Frost, ABPmer Project Manager, assisted in the project’s presentation to the awards’ judging panel, which included the President of the Institute of Civil Engineers and directors of the Environment Agency.
