MJ Goes Live Online
01 Apr 2007
The transformed www.maritimejournal.com website delivers the ultimate news and search location for the European commercial marine industries, providing an ideal tool for purchasing decision makers to locate the products and services provided by MJ’s readers.
In addition to an online presentation of the latest issue of MJ, the new website also delivers a searchable editorial archive with hotlinks to and contact details of featured companies as well as a comprehensive directory.
Maritime Journal’s parent company Mercator Media has just added two new titles to its marine portfolio with the acquisition of The Motor Ship and World Fishing.
Now in its 87th year, The Motor Ship’s long history of editorial excellence has established it as a venerated institution of British marine journalism. Its arrival gives Mercator Media a premier title in the ocean going ships and shipping sector under the experienced hand of Bill Thomson as editor, ably supported by Paul Van Dyke as deputy editor.
World Fishing has been at the heart of the commercial fishing industry for over 50 years and will continue in that role under the editorship of Carly Wills. World Fishing brings with it the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition, which will next be held on 2-4 October 2008 at Smarrin, Kopavogur in Iceland. The event joins Seawork International and the Boating Business Exhibition in the Mercator Media exhibitions portfolio.
