Seawork Update

Inward Buyer Mission at Seawork

The Seawork Inward Buyer Mission will take place during Seawork International 2007 on 13 and 14 June.

The Inward Buyer Mission will bring 20 key decision makers from major overseas companies to Seawork to meet with over 40 UK suppliers, in order to develop commercial relationships.

Buyers and suppliers will be matched by capability and interest. Each buyer will have a pre-arranged schedule of meetings, based on 30 minute slots.

This event within Seawork is being organized by UK Trade & Investment (www.uktisoutheast.com) and Mercator Events, organisers of Seawork (www.seawork.com), with support from SEEDA (www.seeda.co.uk), local authorities and trade associations.

Buyers will be invited from organizations that have an interest in procuring marine equipment and services, such as port authorities, equipment distributors, vessel operators and ship yards. The buyers will be purchasing decision makers from across Europe, Asia and North America.

Suppliers will be UK based companies with suitable products and services. Each supplier will be charged £25 per meeting with a £200 fully refundable booking deposit.

The sector coverage of the event will be focused on the light commercial sector:

· Dockyard and ports supply (equipment and services)

· Maritime security

· Maritime surveillance and vessel management systems

· Commercial equipment

· Commercial vessels (all sizes and types)

· Related services

The one to one meetings will take place on 13and 14 June, the second and third days of the show. Suppliers interested in registering their products and services should contact Rachel Foy, UKTI South East, Tel:+44 (0)1983 209813 or Email: rachel.foy@uktisoutheast.com

As soon as the buyers are confirmed, will be contacted to book their meeting slots. This should happen by the end of April 2007. The closing date for all meeting bookings is 25th May 2007 and meeting schedules will be confirmed by 5th June 2007.
