UKHMA Autumn Seminar

Preparations for the UKHMA Autumn Seminar in London on 17 October are progressing well. The new Shipping Minister, Jim Fitzpatrick, has accepted an invitation to attend the Seminar and, although not expected to speak at length, he may give a brief introduction to his department's policy for the ports sector.

Also, the new MCA Liaison Officer, Geoffrey Stokes (ex-VTS Manager), will be attending the Autumn Seminar to further enhance closer ties between the two organisations.

The complete Programme of Speakers will be finalised during the next few weeks and full details, including a booking form, will be posted to members this month.

The Autumn Dinner will take place on the evening before the Seminar, and will once again be generously sponsored by commercial member V.T.M.S. Ltd. The evening is informal (suit or blazer) and will be held in the El Alamein Room of the Victory Services Club (www.vsc.co.uk). Invitations (for member and guest) will be forwarded with the Seminar booking details.
