    ‘Mariette’ Crosses the North Sea to Seawork

    The little manned model tug ‘Mariette’ created a great deal of interest at Seawork recently when it was used to demonstrate the principles of the Mampaey ‘Dynamic Oval Towing’ (DOT) system.   

    Multraship Expands Tug Fleet

    Terneuzen based salvage and towage company Multraship has purchased two new 70 ton bollard pull Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) tugs for delivery October 2007 and April 2008.  

    An Important Purchase for Targe Towing

    Scottish tug owner Targe Towing confirmed their purchase of three former BP tugs, dedicated to towage services at the Coryton oil refinery, with a short ceremony at Tilbury  

    Fairmount Complete Their Five Tug Fleet

    ‘Fairmount Expedition’, the fifth of the new Fairmount Class of tugs, is now in service. The vessel was launched in February this year, named in Japan on 21 May and, after extensive trials, joined the fleet of Netherlands based Fairmount Marine BV early in June.

    ‘Centaur II’ is now in service in the Polish port of Gdynia.

    The new ASD tug ‘Centaur II’ has now entered service with Gdynia Harbour Tug Services in Poland. Completed in April by Gdansk Shiprepair Yard Remontowa SA, the 31.2m long tug has a beam of 10.5m and draft of 4.8m. 

    Tugnology Brings Worldwide Expertise to Southampton

    Southampton became the focus of the world towage industry for two days in June when international delegates gathered at the De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel for Tugnology ’07.  

    Vancouver – It’s a Different World
