Hamburg-based Fairplay Towage has bareboat chartered the powerful tractor tug ‘Zeus’ from the Slovenian tug owner Adria Tow of Koper. Zeus is a ship handling and offshore tug completed by Astilleros Armon in December 2006. The vessel completed a six month charter with Adsteam in the Medway and was transferred directly to Fairplay in the Netherlands to be quickly repainted and renamed ‘Fairplay 28’. This latest addition will operate in the North Sea as part of the European tug pool Euro-Tugs BV, a joint venture between Fairplay Towage and URS Antwerp.
