    Work is now well underway on a new container ship berth which is part of a €660m project by HHLA to double the capacity of Hamburg’s biggest box facility, the Burchardkai Container Terminal (BCT).

    Nuttall group company John Martin has been using their limpet dam technology to enable repair work on the pintles of Gladstone Lock gates, the important lock system that gives access to the Port of Liverpool.   

    Harwich International Port Relocates Berthing Pontoon

    In order to accommodate the recently extended Stena Line ro-pax ‘Stena Britannica’ (MJ April) and near sister vessel ‘Stena Hollandica’, which serve the Hook of Holland route twice daily, Harwich International Port has moved the berthing pontoon at their dedicated berth by 25m to the east of its previous location.  

    Seawork Exhibitor Enables Marina Expansion

    The growth surge in leisure boating saw Dun Laoghaire Marina open on the south side of Dublin Bay in March of 2001 with berthing for 500 vessels. Piling works are underway for an extension which will see berths in place for 800 vessels.
