Statoil Survey Contract for Acergy
01 Mar 2007
Acergy SA, the seabed-to-surface engineering and construction contractor, has been awarded a $120m contract by Norway’s Statoil for survey services in the North Sea over a period of five years.
The contract starts this month and calls for 250 annual ship days plus options for additional periods of 30 days as well as use of a secondary survey vessel on a yearly or ad-hoc basis.
Acergy says that work will initially be conducted aboard its survey vessel ‘Acergy Petrel’, with a new purpose built ship, ‘Acergy Viking’, taking over as the primary contract vessel when it becomes available later this year. The contract includes options for two year extensions.
