Britain’s only manufacturer of scuba diving regulators has forged a reputation for producing highly reliably and effective diving equipment which is confirmed by the Apeks XTX200 regulator carrying off the Product of the Year title at last September’s ‘Diver Awards 2006’ ceremony, matching a feat performed by the company’s ATX200 regulator in 2003 and 2005.

Recognition of excellence extends internationally, as the company has also won Germany’s Tauchen Award as the best manufacturer of diving equipment for the last three years in a row.

The award winning XTX200 (and the XTX50) has also recently met and exceeded the Norwegian NORSOK breathing performance standard for breathing apparatus in manned underwater operations to depths of 200m. The NORSOK standard was developed by the Norwegian petroleum industry to replace individual oil company specifications.

Apeks and Aqua-Lung UK collectively provide a wide range of products for the professional diving community. Their stand at Seawork 2007 will feature the Genesis II and Proteus commercial diving helmets from Submarine Systems Limited of the UK, which incorporate Apeks second stage regulators as standard. Apeks also provides the recommended first stage regulators for these helmets.

These standard setting commercial diving helmets can also be seen demonstrated in Seawork’s unique quayside Dive Tank during the course of the exhibition.
