Over 1.5 million visitors gathered along the Elbe river recently to celebrate the 819th Port of Hamburg Anniversary. Festivities stretching over four days saw ships' parades, a tugboat ballet, old timer fly pasts and much more. Huge crowds thronged the harbour districts close to the city centre, including the Museum Harbour, the fish markets, the St Pauli Landungsbrucken, the Speicherstadt, and HafenCity.
