Seawork Supports Hydro8
01 Jun 2008
Organised and hosted by The Hydrographic Society UK on behalf of the International Federation of Hydrographic Societies, the event's venue is the City's historic Britannia Adelphi Hotel.
It is expected to attract well over 300 international delegates, and more than 60% of available exhibition space has already been reserved by nearly 40 leading specialist companies and organisations.
With many submissions from worldwide contributors already received, main conference proceedings are currently being finalised under the heading 'New Opportunities'. They will basically address a wide range of issues covering the latest developments for support of dredging, tidal prediction and monitoring, environmental impact assessment, wind farm development applications, electronic charting, underwater acoustics and offshore disciplines.
Proceedings open with an Ice Breaker reception for delegates and exhibitors alike on 3 November sponsored by Applied Acoustic Engineering. Full details of Hydro8, which will also include workshops and demonstrations, vessel tours and technical visits as well as a conference dinner in Liverpool's celebrated Georgian Town Hall, are available from The Hydrographic Society UK on its Seawork 2008 stand. There is also a dedicated website at www.hydro8.org.uk.
