Solutions for Breath Testing at Sea

Any vessel that might sail into waters governed by the USA and its territories is required to meet new US Coast Guard Marine Casualties and Investigation Regulations which have recently been amended to cover drugs and alcohol testing.
The new Draeger Alcotest equipment conforms to standards for evidential breath measurement devices.

Ideal for use in accordance with these regulations, the Draeger Alcotest 6510 and 6810 provide a fast, accurate and easy solution to the problems sometimes associated with evidential breath testing.

Meeting the requirements of the NHTSA Conforming Products List of Evidential Breath Measurement Devices, the Alcotest 6510 and 6810 can be operated within six seconds of switch on and can provide up to 1,500 measurements with just two AA batteries.

Featuring simple, three button operation and providing full text messages via a clear, back-lit LCD graphic display, the microprocessor controlled Alcotest units also incorporate three different LED colours to provide immediate visual confirmation of the result. Eliminating the possibility of breath sample manipulation, the hand held, ambidextrous instruments emit an audible alarm at the end of the testing process. The patented, secure mouthpiece is easy to attach and measurements can be taken at the touch of a single button.

Results are shown in mg/L, %o, or % and up to ten measurements can be stored at any one time on the 6510 while the 6910 offers a 200 event data logger capacity. Once stored, users are able to recall the appropriate test number and display the result when required. For those applications where hard copies are required, the Alcotest 6810 can also be supplied with a printer.

The Alcotest range comprises a measurement unit, carrying case, three mouthpieces, two batteries and a wrist strap. Mouthpieces are also available in packs of 100, each one being individually packed for maximum hygiene and safety.
