Over recent months the South Devon based distributors have provided a pair of V158TIM engines on DMT reversing gearboxes for a new passenger ferry being built by Abels in Bristol for Clyde Marine Services.
A pair of L136T engines on PRM 100D4 gearboxes have gone to Alexander Noble & Sons of Girvan for a new fish farming vessel. Arklow Marine Services of Wicklow, which is building a new passenger ferry for Ciaran O'Driscol has taken delivery of two V158TIM main engines and ZF500A reversing gearboxes. David Bamford of Kikeel, the new owner of the Cygnus GM21 mould, has received an LO34 engine and DMT25A gearbox, whilst Buccaneer of Cambourne is putting an L136 main engine on a DMT90A reversing gearbox into a New Buccaneer 28 MFV for Richard Burell.

Manor Marine in Portland will place twin L126TI models in a vessel for Marine Construction Services. Meercat Workboats of Southampton is building the third in a series of new multicat style workboats for a Norwegian owner, each powered by a pair of LI36TI engines on DMT110 reversing gearboxes. Mooeny Boats of Killybegs will equip a boat for Michael Mulloy with a pair of the same engines. Newbury Engineering of Newhaven will put and LI26TIH main engine on a DMTP5100M3 reversing gearbox into a new MFV for Osborne & Sons.
The first of three new Gemini catamarans is being fitted out at Seaway Marine with a pair of LI36 engines. South Boats of Cowes on the Isle of Wight will put a pair of LI36TI engines into a new harbour workboat being built for Cowes Harbour Authority. The same model engines are going in to re-power an ex-Calmac Ferry and Icelandic boatbuilder Trefjar, whose Cleopatras are also distributed through WaterMota, has placed an LI26TIM main engine on a ZF325IV gearbox into a Cleopatra 38.
The full list of recent WaterMota successes is too long to print. Although nothing is conclusively known at the time of writing, WaterMota is hopeful that as many as three Doosan powered workboats will be on the floating pontoon at Seawork 2008.
