  • Delayed JadeWeser Port construction underway at last

    Construction work is beginning this month on one of the most prestigious port civil engineering projects ever undertaken in Germany, the planned €1bn JadeWeser deepwater container facility in Wilhelmshaven.

  • Fourth cruise terminal for Southampton

    Associated British Ports’ (ABP) Port of Southampton has awarded a multi-million pound building contract for its fourth cruise terminal to Dean & Dyball, the Hampshire UK based multi-disciplinary contractor. 

  • Singapore success for Seawork exhibitor

    Proving popular at a number of international exhibitions, returning Seawork exhibitor VersaDock has received an order from the organisers of Boat Show Asia 2008 for 300 m2 of VersaDock to not only create a floating stage but also to extend the display and visitor space available at this year’s event, which took place in Singapore at the end of last month.

    The ABP Port of Southampton has recently installed new ship to shore walkways at the Port’s City Cruise Terminal. 

  • Cardiff Bay Gets a Coastline

    Following a competitive tendering exercise UK based Coastline Surveys Limited have been awarded a two year survey contract to undertake monthly surveys of the Cardiff Bay, the Barrage, Inner and Outer Harbours and Approaches and parts of the Rivers Taff and Ely. The waters are managed by Cardiff Harbour Authority as part of Cardiff Council. 

  • Long distance dredging makes marina work

    A new development at the UK's Plymouth Marina has involved the construction of a boat launching facility to move craft directly from the storage yard into the estuary below. 

  • Work underway on Hamburg Port bridge

    Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) has begun construction works for a new bridge over the Rethe canal.
