Marine renewable energy activity in European waters is expanding rapidly. A recent UK report suggests supply chain requirements in British waters alone could realise £62bn in annual revenues and employ 145,000 people in manufacturing, installation and maintenance. Many European ports are now positioning themselves to serve as installation operations and maintenance bases. With many of our readers directly involved in these operations, MJ is extending its coverage of the maritime industries’ fastest growing sector.
