MDL’s Fanbeam® ‘Laser Radar’ is the most widely used high accuracy position reference system for Dynamic Positioning (DP) of work vessels. With over 1,500 vessels installed worldwide Fanbeam® is a trusted industry brand. The system is primarily used as a DP reference sensor measuring the position of an Offshore Support Vessel (OSV) relative to an offshore structure such as a platform.
