The Anholt wind farm will be the largest in the world when completed.

DHI Group in Denmark says it recently completed the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for what will be the world’s largest wind farm when completed.

By 2012, 400,000 Danish homes will be supplied with electricity from the 400MW Anholt offshore wind farm. The EIA for the new wind farm was undertaken by DHI, working closely with Rambøll.

DHI’s contribution to the EIA covered a wide range of activity including a number of comprehensive surveys and monitoring programmes to establish metocean data and study the impact on sediment dispersal and coastal morphology.
