  • Shetland Islands Council to dredge Scalloway Harbour

    The Shetland Islands Council is to invest £3m this year in dredging Scalloway Harbour. The work will create a channel 8.5m deep by 100m wide, and straighten the approaches into the harbour. The harbour board had originally hoped to dredge to 9.5m, but this was deemed too expensive. 27 May 2010
