Warwickshire UK based marine sanitation specialist LeeSan has started to market TruDesign products in the UK.

Designed and made in New Zealand for use in marine applications above and below the water line, this range of ball valves and fittings are IMCI approved to ISO standard 9093-2 and are ideal for controlling and monitoring inlet and outlet water.

The comprehensive range includes plumbing fittings, ball valves (manual and electronic) Aquavalve diverters, position monitored ball valves, display panels, strainers and skin fittings.

TruDesign ‘Position Monitored’ ball valves are fitted with sensors which indicate on a display panel if the valve is open or closed. Each panel can monitor up to four valves. This does away with the hassle of obtaining visual confirmation in inaccessible areas.

These position monitored units can easily be wired to the engine ignition switch to ensure that start-up will only occur when the water intake valve is open, helping to avoid possible overheating caused by accidental or inadvertent water intake valve closure.

The bodies of the ball valves are manufactured in a glass reinforced nylon composite with high impact and tensile strength, resulting in a light weight unit free from corrosion and electrolysis issues. The ball and sealing rings utilise a PTFE polymer to ensure a smooth action and continuous ease of operation over many years.

High strength, high-modulus glass fibres impregnated into the nylon provide dramatic strength, stiffness, toughness and dimensional stability. These properties allow a significant weight reduction over metallic fittings.

This valve screws onto the corresponding skin fitting 90418 and hose tail 90231 or 90532 to make a strong and corrosion resistant 1 1/2" seacock.

Tru Design skin fittings eliminate the corrosion and electrical bonding problems associated with metallic fittings.
