Baudouin gets British Isles distribution
Moteurs Baudouin current engine range includes inline 6 cylinder, V 8 and V12 propulsion engines from 80 kW to 808kW.
Golden Arrow Marine has been appointment as the Moteurs Baudouin distributor for UK and Eire as last month.
Southampton based Golden Arrow has been associated with delivering engineering sales, service and support to the marine industry since 1935 and represent a number of manufactures for engines, gearboxes, generators, thrusters, stabilizers and windlasses. The customer base ranges from major UK leisure boat builders, MOD, defense contractors and Port Authorities to individual owners and operators.
Martin Bizzell, the company’s general manager said, “We are very excited by the prospects that Moteurs Baudouin brings to the company. Over the last few years we have seen a shift in our customer base away from leisure towards commercial marine and have been seeking an engine manufacturer to partner with in developing this side of our business. Their heavy duty engines take us into market sectors that we have not historically been involved in and the opportunity to work with fishing, tug and ferry operators and builders is exciting. We are proud of our reputation for delivering excellent customer service and will be appointing strategically placed Moteurs Baudouin approved agents who can deliver equal service at a local level.”
Moteurs Baudouin current engine range includes inline 6 cylinder, V 8 and V12 propulsion engines from 80 kW to 808kW which can be combined with their own range of heavy duty marine gearboxes. Also available are complete shaft and propeller systems of fixed or controllable pitch. In addition to propulsion engines and drive line there is a range of auxiliary and standby generator sets using their 4, 6, 8 and 12 cylinder engines from 68 kWe to 772 kWe.
