A marine PC bargain at Seawork
The Aqua PC Pro is designed specifically for the most demanding of marine 3D charting applications.
Digital Deep Sea has put together a value for money package offering real value for money to anyone who purchases its newest PC, the Aqua PC Pro, at Seawork 2011.
The phenomenally fast onboard PC is proving popular among boat owners, as it is designed specifically for the most demanding of marine 3D charting applications and uses Intel's latest i3-530 processor. It also features a solid state hard disk drive for the ultimate in reliability and speed and comes with the latest Windows 7 Premium Home (64 Bit) operating system pre-installed together with 4 GB RAM, 10 USB ports and built in high speed 802.11n wireless networking. It will also drive up to two displays using the latest HDMI and DVI/VGA connections. An optional, four port dedicated NMEA interface (all opto isolated) together with configuration software can be specified which effectively allows the PC to act as a four way multiplexer for sophisticated navigation programmes and systems.
Despite its power, Aqua PC Pro measures just 30 x 27 x 7cm and operates directly from 12v or 24v DC without the need for an external inverter. It also offers a quick zoom and redraw capability.
Earlier this year, Digital Deep Sea also launched a new version of the SmarterTrack electronic chart and navigation software program. Called SmarterTrack 2011, it comes complete with a USB card reader which can take plug in electronic charts from Navionics in either SD or CF format. The new 2011 version adds significantly enhanced displays of numeric data. Users can now drag a databox, sized to their requirements, on to the screen and select from a massive choice of data. The system can effectively turn your PC display into a giant repeater screen with optimised data for your needs. AIS presentations have also been improved with colour coded targets as well as a new fast AIS feature which memorises AIS static data for a faster presentation of AIS target information. The program now supports weather data overlays from free GRIB files for animated weather information at your location.
Digital Deep Sea has put together an exhibition package that will run exclusively during Seawork 2011. The Aqua PC Pro is priced at £1440.00 including VAT and SmarterTrack Pro costs £258.00 including VAT, but Digital Deep Sea will give all customers free SmarterTrack Pro software when they buy the Aqua PC Pro.
