Challenger Commercial launches at Seawork
The new ISO 12402 range of Challenger Worksafe Pro lifejackets were on display at Seawork for the first time in the UK.
Visitors to International Safety Product’s (ISP) stand at Seawork 2011 were the first to witness the new Challenger brand of genuine spares and accessories, soon to be available in the UK for the very first time.
Geoff Billington, the company’s sales and marketing director said, “This was our first time exhibiting at Seawork in our own right and we were very impressed with the show and it's organisation. I certainly expect us to return next year.
“We had lots of interest in our new ISO 12402 range of Challenger Commercial lifejackets and picked up a number of leads which we are confident will lead to new business for us. As the UK commercial marine distributor for ACR Electronics, interest in their range of EPIRBS and PLBs was very encouraging.”
The comprehensive range of Genuine ISP spares and accessories (which are already available online to trade customers via ISP’s website), includes recharge kits as well as the complete range of spares suitable for all types of lifejackets, including Halkey Roberts, United Moulders and Hammar operating mechanisms.
Accessories range from lights, spray hoods, crotch straps and cylinders, (24g and 60g) to Super Bobbins, all branded’ with the Challenger logo and distinctive ISP orange and blue colours.
Two new ISO lifejackets, the Challenger Worksafe and the Challenger Worksafe Pro also made their debut at Seawork.
The Challenger Worksafe Pro has been specifically designed for a slimmer, less obtrusive fit and comes with a zipped cover with storm flap. The back of the lifejacket is meshed, providing breathability to further improve comfort for the wearer. An integral pocket enables the crotch strap to be stowed away when not in use and other features include a zipped pocket, neo neck for added comfort and a radio attachment strap, all fitted as standard.
The successful Challenger Worksafe lifejacket benefits from many new design improvements and features, including a fire proof cover, ideal when carrying out work such as welding.
Both of these new ISO Commercial Lifejackets are available in 170N and 300N buoyancy options and both feature ISP’s patented interlocking lobe ‘Wave Barrier Technology’ design which self-rights the wearer in under five seconds and provides an effective wave barrier, preventing water from being channeled into airways, even if the wearer is unconscious.
