Seawork’s wind farm supply event aims to help marine companies to understand the renewables sector supply chain.

A workshop that aims to give insight into supply chain opportunities arising from the UK’s Round 3 Offshore Wind Procurement Programme is to take place at Seawork 2010.

Offshore Wind: Supply Chain Opportunities for Marine Companies, supported by Marine South East and Envirobusiness, will take place on on Thursday 17 June from 10:00 to 12:30. It will cover all aspects of renewable sector procurement including surveying work and survey vessels, installation and maintenance, port requirements, connection infrastructure, and other marine related products and services.

The workshop will enable potential suppliers to understand the structure of the supply chain and how they can identify selling opportunities as well as ensuring that wind farm developers understand how to access the specialist marine companies.

Presentations at the event will include the following:

- Introduction – Alan Banks, CEO Envirobusiness

- Opportunities for marine companies presented by the Round 3 UK Offshore Wind Farms – The Crown Estate: Adrian Fox, Supply Chain Manager (Round 3 UK Offshore Wind Supply Chain)

- Marine supply chain needs of London Array – Matt Britton – Supply Chain Manager

- Case Study: Mattijs de Lange, Gardline Geosciences Ltd

- Questions and discussion facilitated by Marine South East
