Fareham UK based Seawork Marine Services Ltd is this year planning and coordinating operations of the quayside Dive Tank at Seawork 2010. Scotland’s underwater equipment specialist, Searchwise Ltd, continues its supply of the Dive Tank.

Whilst the windowed tank presents Seawork Marine Services with an excellent opportunity to promote itself, this unique feature of the Seawork exhibition also provides an opportunity for perspective clients and visitors from outside the diving sector to see a fully dressed working diver in modern dive gear performing a variety of tasks. Not only can the latest dive equipment be seen in demonstrations but this year also presents a rare opportunity to witness the Historical Diving Society taking us all back in time with tank displays undertaken by Society members in ‘traditional dress’.

The tank will be occupied approximately four times per day, with two sessions in the morning and another two in the afternoon for all three days of the show. All sessions will be supervised by Seawork Marine Services Ltd, which will deploy its own four man dive team. The use of different tools and equipment associated with in-water engineering projects will be demonstrated during these dives, showing everything from basic hand tools through to modern non-destructive testing and measurement equipment.

Seawork Marine Services would like to hear from any companies wishing to have their in-water equipment demonstrated or even tested by a diver whilst the show is in progress. Should any visitors or exhibitors wish to see how a dive is controlled by the Dive Supervisor, then Seawork Marine Services would be happy to oblige. The entrant would be taken into the control room to get an insight into the workings of the dive control panel and communications system.

Seawork Marine Services Ltd, a long established diving company founded in 1991, purchased the assets and business of Sub Surface Engineering Ltd (SSE) in May 2009. The company has experienced personnel and equipment to carry out all of the operations previously undertaken by SSE and can now offer a much broader and enhanced range of services to its clients.

Seawork Marine Services hold external audited accreditations for ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 to national standards for quality, health and safety and environmental certificates. The company is a founder member of the ADC, member of the RoSPA, and is registered with the HSE as diving contractors.

Sister company Marine Construction Services Ltd will be alongside Seawork Marine Services at the show. Together the companies can offer a full package of vessels, plant and equipment for the marine construction industry and the diving industry as well as for projects where the two industries meet.
