IMO to update GHG inventory

The Second IMO GHG Study 2009 estimated that international shipping emitted 870 million tonnes of global man-made CO2 in 2007

International experts met at International Maritime Organisation (IMO) headquarters recently to begin work on updating the inventory of greenhouse gases (GHG) from international shipping.
