MacGregor has signed a contract with Bouygues Travaux Publics, one of the world's largest civil engineering construction companies, to design, build and install three ferry linkspan facilities in France.

The linkspans will serve traffic in Calais, which is the most frequent RoRo hub in the world together with Dover.  Each floating linkspan will be constructed from 1,500 tonnes of structural steel.

"MacGregor's proven expertise in delivering large and sophisticated linkspan projects was one of the key reasons for securing the order. Customers value our capabilities to design according to specification and delivering on time," said Michel van Roozendaal, President, MacGregor. "We have a long relationship with this customer since 2009 when we delivered two linkspans to Morocco in 2009, and we have been involved in Garden Bridge project in London," van Roozendaal continued.

The linkspan equipment will be delivered during 2020.
