ABP Marine Environmental Research (ABPmer) has expanded its services by forming a Processes team which will focus on work in the flood and coastal management sector as well as undertake dredging and marine navigation design studies.
P&O is proposing to build a major container port at the Thurrock, Essex site and, with partner Shell, a major logistics and commercial centre. The proposals are for separate and free standing projects which could be developed independently or together.
Already underway are shoreline management and strategy plans, flood and coastal defence schemes, offshore windfarm and port development studies, habitat creation schemes and environmental assessments.
