Responding to Emissions Regulations at Seawork

01 Mar 2006

Finning Power Systems is hosting a seminar at this year' s Seawork exhibition to highlight the current emissions regulations and its affect on the commercial marine sector.

The session will cover a variety of subject areas including information about the regulations, compliance and the current solutions within the market place. The regulations have been implemented as a result of the stringent emission requirements under EPA Tier 2 and Tier 3 and the European standards stage II/Stage IIIA/Stage IIIA.

As a result of the legislation, Caterpillar initiated a research and development program in 1999 to develop key technologies compliant with the new regulations.

The result is ACERT technology.

Liz Smith, marketing communications manager at Finning Power Systems, said, 'As a leading distributor and manufacturer, we feel it is important to provide expert advice and training to help our customers and potential customers to understand the implications of legislative changes and provide them with up to date information on our product ranges and solutions.

The seminar session will take place at Seawork 2006 on 14 June at 11:30am.
